ACD – Allergic Contact Dermatitis

“Allergic Contact Dermatitis” is an allergic skin reaction that develops after skin contact with a chemical substance.

This condition occurs as a result of the immune system reacting after a person is exposed to the chemical and manifests itself with symptoms such as redness, itching, and swelling. ACD is an important factor in the toxicological assessment of chemical substances and is taken into account in the labelling of substances with a potential skin allergy risk.
